Stoke City No2 Mark Bowen has hit back at their critics of their victory over Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger described Stoke as playing physical - and then Charlie Adam picked up a controversial three-match ban for treading on Olivier Giroud.

Bowen said: "You do come out of the game against Arsenal at times and wonder did we really play any football because all people want to talk about is the physical side of things.

"But anybody who knows their football or were there will know we played some very good stuff.

"It takes a little bit of gloss away the way it's covered afterwards."
