Stoke No1 Begovic still wary of Sorensen competition

Stoke City No1 Asmir Begovic still feels the selection heat from rival Thomas Sorensen.

Begovic, 24, has kept four clean sheets in Stoke's eight Premier League games and says he must maintain this standard to hang on to the No 1 jersey.

"It's always been my goal to get in the team and stay there," said the Bosnian international.

"Having achieved that, it's going to take a lot of hard work to keep my place because the manager won't let you become complacent.

"The more games I play, the more comfortable I feel and the more I learn. I'm just trying to get better and help the team improve.

"It's good to keep a clean sheet and we just want as many as we can get to get the three points each time. It's nice to get them because then you know you've done your job well - not just me, but the whole defence."
