Stoke News: Massive Butland blow; Three kids set for loan

Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland faces six weeks out with a broken finger.

Butland, 24, was forced to withdraw from the England squad on Thursday after picking up yet another injury.

Following his latest knock, Butland tweeted: "Bit of luck wouldn't go amiss, but can't keep me down for long! Be back soon."

The Potters ace was sidelined for 13 months when he fractured his ankle during a friendly win against Germany in March 2016.

Meanwhile, Stoke plan to loan out three of their top youngsters in January.

The Sentinel says Stoke are actively seeking loan moves for a clutch of their future first-team hopefuls like Harry Souttar, Ollie Shenton and Danny Jarvis.

The club is anxious to toughen them up in the lower leagues to try and catapult them towards the fringes of the first team at Stoke.

The door is open to loan them out during the January window now that the club has exited the Checkatrade Trophy
