Stoke new boy Joselu thanks Chelsea boss Mourinho

Stoke City's brand new signing Joselu has expressed his gratitude towards Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Former Hannover striker Joselu worked with Mourinho during their time together at Real Madrid and it was the Portuguese manager who gave the striker his big break in the Spanish capital.

Now following his move to England with Stoke, Joselu has taken the opportunity to thank Mourinho for having a big influence early on in his career.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Spaniard said: "I spent two years with him. He took me on two pre-seasons and he gave me my Real Madrid debut in the league and the cup.

"I trained a huge amount with the first team and every time I had contact with him, he treated me extremely well, as he did with other academy products, who will tell you the same. I found that he was very friendly and encouraging towards the youngsters."
