Stoke City winger Liam Lawrence believes they need at least three quality signings to handle Premiership life.
"I think we need four top players, or at least three, who can go straight into the team and give us that added strength we'll need," said Lawrence, who had one Premier League campaign with Sunderland before joining Stoke.
"We all know how difficult it will be, and I'm sure the gaffer is already working hard on it, but I don't think there will be much happening until after the European Championships.
"I had a chat with the chief executive the other day to try and get some names, but he was giving nothing away.
"Personally, I can't wait for the fixtures to come out next month, although I don't think what we've achieved will have sunk in even after that.
"It will sink in when we report back for pre-season training on July 10 and start wearing our new training kit with Premier League badges all over it. That's when it will really hit me."
