Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was full of praise for his players following a narrow 1-0 home defeat against Manchester United. Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the game with seven minutes remaining by which time Stoke had seen Andy Wilkinson dismissed.
Speaking to the Pulis said, "I thought they were absolutely fantastic today and the effort which they put in was absolutely first class.
"I thought we were on top for periods of the game and had quite a few good chances.
"We got in some good positions but we never put in that killer pass to open them up.
"They are the best team in the world, and they will be very happy to be going home with the win.
"We deserved something today and I am very disappointed we didn't get anything. But we will keep our heads up and move on to the West Ham game."
