Stoke City will have smash their wage ceiling to land Dnipro winger Yehven Konoplyanka.
The Mail on Sunday says the 25-year-old is out of contract at Dnipro and was poised to join Tottenham until the London club scrapped the deal.
Konoplyanka though is understood to want a £3million signing on fee and £100,000 a week which would far outweigh Stoke's wage budget.
Manager Mark Hughes says he wants quality over quantity but Stoke may find that difficult unless they change their wage structure.
