Stoke move for Kightly rejected by Wolves

Stoke City have been denied the chance to sign Michael Kightly with Wolves snubbing their advances.

The 26-year old winger had emerged as a summer transfer target for the Potters with his contract entering its final year but it has been revealed that Wolves have opted against selling him to Tony Pulis.

Sky Sports suggests that Stoke placed an undisclosed offer on the Molineux table but the Wolverhampton club are looking to keep him around as they prepare for life in the Championship.
