Stoke chairman Peter Coates has denied speculation linking the club with a move for Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge and unsettled Tottenham striker Robbie Keane. Bridge has been strongly linked with a move away from City in the New Year with the left-back well down the pecking order in Roberto Mancini's plans.
"No, there's nothing in that," Coates told Sky Sports News.
"Certainly Tony [Pulis] has not mentioned it to me so I would be very surprised if he did."
Coates also cooled rumours linking Stoke with a move for Keane is expected to leave Spurs next month after failing to establish himself in Harry Redknapp's starting XI.
Coates has refused to rule out a move for Keane, but believes they do not need any striking reinforcements as they are well stocked in attack.
He added: "Anyone would be interested in Keane, but we think we are pretty well covered in that department.
"So I am not expecting that to be the case, but you keep your options open. That is the secret."
