Stoke City hope to snap up Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku on-loan next season.
The Daily Star says manager Tony Pulis has launched a bid to sign the Belgian international on loan to fire up his goal-shy Potters.
Lukaku, 19, was signed for £18m from Anderlecht last summer but only made one Premier League start all season, claiming after Chelsea's Champions League triumph he had learned "nothing" at the club.
West Ham are also interested in Lukaku, one of three Belgian kids playing for their places during Chelsea's pre-season tour to the USA.
