Stoke City midfielder Danny Pugh is at Leeds United to stay.
The on-loan utility hit the winner in victory over Portsmouth.
Pugh admitted: "I want to stay. I see this as a fantastic opportunity. I've lots to prove and a lot to achieve here.
"There have been many changes in personnel since I was here before but the targets and ambitions of the club are still the same. And the fans have been great with me, just like before.
"There is no reason why Leeds cannot get back into the Premier League. I didn't achieve that the first time I was here but maybe we can rectify that. It was really pleasing to get my first goal since coming back.
"A goal, a clean sheet and three points.
"It has been a thoroughly good day all round."
