Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has sought to cool talk of a return to Dundee this summer.

Adam sparked social media overnight after tweeting the following (the lyrics to a P Diddy song apparently): "I'm coming home, I'm coming home. Tell the world that I'm coming home…"

This was enough to have Dundee fans dreaming that their man was on his way back to his hometown club.

But the tweet was later deleted, presumably by Adam himself, and this morning he has since come out to distance himself from it.

He posted: "This tweet I've been sent was not posted by me ... ??"
