Stoke City star Joe Allen is hopeful that his side can claim a victory when they square off against Southampton this weekend.

The Potters suffered a 4-0 humbling at the hands of Chelsea at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday and Allen is keen on his side to bounce back when they square off the Saints.

Allen said: "Not our greatest week but before that things were looking pretty positive.

"The three home games we've had up to now (Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea) have been extremely tough and so hopefully this is a game where we can be on the front foot a little bit more. We are looking to get a win."
