Stoke midfielder Adam has no Liverpool regrets

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has no regrets over his time at Liverpool.

Adam was signed by Kenny Dalglish for the Reds.

"Going to Liverpool was amazing; it was everything I had dreamt of doing as a kid," he explained to the Daily Mail.

"It was one of those massive things you want to happen in your life and it happened. Liverpool is such a big club and I was fortunate to be one of a select few to have played for them. It was an amazing time."

Ironically, the deal saw a player once deemed surplus to requirements by Rangers rescued by a man whose name will remain forever synonymous with Celtic.

"I had a very good relationship with Kenny from the first phone call," he said. "It was a whirlwind time and the closest you usually get to these people is watching them on TV.

"For him to be managing me and choosing to buy me ... not many people get Kenny Dalglish driving you to the training ground to sign your contract. Things like that make you smile and realise how lucky you are. He's a fantastic person."
