Stoke matchwinner Allen impressed by Ramadan Sobhi

Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen is impressed by new teammate Ramadan Sobhi.

Allen scored Stoke's all-important goal over Crystal Palace in front of the Boothen End after Sobhi had ducked and weaved in the area, occupying three defenders to create space for the winner.

"He did all the hard work in all honesty," said Allen to Radio Stoke. "It was a good ball from him after Marko (Arnautovic) had played a great ball over the top. It would have been easy for Ramadan to have seen his chance at glory and try to put it away himself but he kept his composure and put it on a plate for me.

"I'm really grateful and on top of setting me up for the goal I thought he was brilliant all day. For the rest of the season and the future he's going to be a big player for this club.

"It was a very important goal from a team point of view. It was the goal we needed to get three points. It's been a while since I got my last one so it's nice to end what's been a bit of a drought."
