Stoke make play for Hannover striker Diouf

Stoke City are targeting a summer move for Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.

Potters boss Mark Hughes is believed to be preparing an £8million offer for the 25-year old Senegal international according to reports.

Diouf struggled at Manchester United after being signed from Molde in 2009 and was subsequently sent on loan back to the Norwegian club as well as Blackburn Rovers.

However, Diouf has flourished in Germany with Hannover since arriving in January 2012, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists in 38 Bundesliga appearances.

According to the Mirror, Hughes this week flew the players agent Jim Solbakken to England for final contract talks.
