Stoke to make offer for Sheffield Wednesday keeper Grant

Sheffield Wednesday keeper Lee Grant is in the sights of Stoke City.

The Daily Mail says Tony Pulis is considering a £2m move for Grant.

The Stoke boss has stalled in an attempt to land David James from Portsmouth and is also investigating a move for Manchester United's Ben Foster.

He needs a new keeper as Thomas Sorensen is a target for Bayern Munich and No2 Steve Simonsen is out of contract in the summer.

Tottenham and Burnley have also checked on Grant. Pulis sent scouts to watch him in Wednesday's 2-1 win at Blackpool on Tuesday night and was given a favourable report.
