Stoke City are chasing Olympique Marseille midfielder Charles Kaboré.
The combative 23 year-old midfielder has been a long-term target for Stoke boss Tony Pulis.
Marseille coach Didier Deschamps is prepared to sell, despite Kaboure being tied to the club until 2015.
Stoke must see off competition from Fiorentina and Toulouse for the Burkina Faso international.
