Stoke mad Tom Edwards living first team dream

Stoke City fullback Tom Edwards is proud of his breakthrough season.

Edwards has had a regular seat in Block 18 since the age of eight - and is now part of the first team.

He told The Sentinel: “When I used to sit in the stands I used to think the fans were loud but that doesn't compare to what it's like out on the pitch.

“To have that noise coming around you is deafening and there's no feeling like it. Walking out in front of those fans and being around the team in such a big game was brilliant."

The youngster added: “It's an unbelievable feeling. I've made my debut away from home so to play my first game here in front of our brilliant fans is unbelievable.

“It's third time lucky. I haven't had much experience of the Premier League so far and this is the best feeling by far.

“The fans made a massive impact. Everything we did, every tackle there was a cheer and they got behind us through the whole game."
