Stoke City legend Gordon Banks hopes they can keep hold of Asmir Begovic.
But he admits that could be difficult if Begovic enjoys a brilliant World Cup in goal for Bosnia.
"I just hope that nobody comes in and buys him," Banks, the club's president, told The Sentinel. "It was a shock nobody came in for him last year.
"I don't want them to because for me a keeper can get as many points for his team as a goalscorer can.
"If it's 0-0 and he's making great saves, he can get points for the team.
"And not only that, he then gives confidence to the defence in front of him so they can do their job all the better.
"If they can hang on to him, then please, please keep him because he's a great goalkeeper."
