England legend Gordon Banks admits concerns with Fabio Capello's goalkeeping stocks.
The Stoke City hero and World Cup winner is at a loss to explain why there is so few top class English keepers.
Banks told the Mail on Sunday: "I don't know the reason why we're not producing them now.
"With all the goalkeeping coaches, I cannot believe that we're not getting some young lads coming through.
"There's someone like Ben Foster, who could miss out on this World Cup because he hasn't been selected at Manchester United.
"We also have many foreign managers in this country and for some reason they won't play our keepers. But without getting experience in the Premier League, we will never have top-class goalkeepers."
