Manchester United defender Ryan Shawcross has signed on-loan with Stoke City.
The 19-year-old, a product of the club's Academy, will join the Potteries club on loan until 1 January 2008.
A tall and powerful central defender, Shawcross made his first-team debut for United as a substitute against Crewe Alexandra in the Carling Cup last season.
