Stoke keeping things quiet regarding Pulis future

Stoke City chairman Peter Coates was coy on the future of manager Tony Pulis when quizzed on Tuesday.

The Potters have won three of their past 16 league matches and are now safe after some relegation worries but that doesn't mean Coates has been impressed by the boss in the second half of the season.

"We have had a very flat second half to the season and nobody is trying to hide that," was Coates' response to the The Staffordshire News when asked about Pulis.

"You are always trying to learn from such things to try and improve."

Coates also insisted he wanted to see the Potters push up from their current standing of 12th with three matches remaining.

"But the season is far from over because we have three games left and want to finish as high as we can," he added.
