Stoke keeper Sorensen happy with Simonsen competition

Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is pleased Steve Simonsen has impressed in his absence.

The Dane believes Simonsen's success will drive him further in training to prove he is the club's outright No1.

"It is good that he did well because if there wasn't any pressure on you it wouldn't be good for me or the team as a whole. We've got to the stage now where there's competition for any place in the team and nobody can feel safe - me as well," said Sorensen.
