Stoke City goalkeeper Steve Simonsen admits he had several offers before agreeing a move to Sheffield United.
Simonsen has joined the Blades on-loan and comes off contract at Stoke in June.
"I've had quite a few offers," Simonsen told The Sheffield Star. "But this was the first one that I was really interested in. When it became clear that I could come here then it didn't take me any time at all to say 'yes.' My mind was made up.
"Some of the other opportunities weren't quite right as they were a long way away down south. This one, though, is absolutely perfect. I've come to a fantastic club that has a great chance of making the play-offs. It's a pressure situation but, as far as I'm concerned that's good because it means you are competing for something."
