Stoke keeper Butland needs to continue development - Hughes

Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland is a chance of being sent out on loan again this season.

The 20-year old talent signed with the Potters in January but spent the remainder of the campaign on loan with former club Birmingham City.

New Stoke boss Mark Hughes suggests Butland could be on his way out to gain more experience this term but made it clear that he would only go if the move was a positive for all.

"Jack's an outstanding young keeper and it's about making sure he develops," said Hughes.

"If there's not the right opportunity, and we don't think it's advantageous to his development, then he won't go out, he'll stay with us."
