The Bosnian scored with his first touch of the ball just 12 seconds into the 1-1 draw with Southampton, the fastest goal ever scored by a goalkeeper in professional football.
Begovic thumped the ball upfield and, wind-assisted, it cleared the Southampton defence and bounced over their Polish goalkeeper, Artur Boruc.
"It’s a cool feeling," said Begovic. "But I feel bad for Artur Boruc when something like that happens."
