Stoke City are joining the battle for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani.
The Sentinel says Stoke are one of a number of clubs reported to be in the frame for the 26-year-old, who is currently on the books of Sporting Lisbon.
He only joined Sporting last summer, from Algerian side Belouizdad, and was used as a super sub before forcing his way into the team in the spring.
West Ham United, Marseille and Trabzonspor are also said to be considering £6m swoops for the reigning Algerian player of the year.
