Stoke City are determined to re-sign goalkeeper Asmir Begovic according to reports.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international, 27, is under contract at the Britannia Stadium until next summer but the Potters want to ward off any clubs interested in his services.
Inter Milan and Tottenham have been linked with the former Portsmouth custodian but Stoke chairman Peter Coates is not about to let him go anywhere.
"We will be working hard to convince Asmir to sign a new contract before the end of this season," said Coates.
"He's got a year left after this summer and we have to be realistic, we don't want to get into a situation where his value diminishes if he doesn't sign.
"There are no problems between Asmir and the club and we are obviously keen to extend his contract here with us."
