Stoke City are hopeful that they will have the signing of Josh Tymon sealed in time for the start of pre-season training next Wednesday.
City agreed personal terms with Tymon recently following his exit from Hull City on a free transfer at the end of last season and he is now set to join the Potters in the coming days.
Stoke failed to agree a fee with Hull over Tymon though and as the Tigers are entitled to compensation for the player due to his age - despite the deal being a free transfer, the figure now looks like being decided by a tribunal.
Nonetheless, Stoke hope to complete the signing of Tymon soon and are hopeful of having the left-back available in time for the start of pre-season training next Wednesday.
