Stoke hope to beat Wolves for Southampton's Lallana

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is preparing a £750,000 offer for Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana.

The Daily Star says Pulis will attempt to steal a march on Wolves by swooping for the Southampton midfielder.

Mick McCarthy's £500,000 offer was rejected by the new owners at St Mary's but Pulis is ready to pounce.

Lallana, 21, looks set to be the latest casualty of Saints' relegation to League One, with Andrew Surman and David McGoldrick already sold.
