Ibrahim Afellay's three-match suspension has been reduced to two.
The attacking midfielder was sent off in the first half of his Stoke City's 1-0 home loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday for raising a hand to Craig Gardner's face.
Afellay, who arrived from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, was set to miss three matches but the Football Association has upheld Stoke's appeal against the severity of the punishment.
Holland international Afellay will now be unavailable for Saturday week's trip to Arsenal as well as the meeting with Leicester City at the Britannia Stadium a week later.
