Stoke City fullback Erik Pieters is eager to see Marko Arnautovic to sign a new deal.

The Austrian is still stalling on signing a new deal.

Pieters said: “It is very important for us to keep our team strong and all our good players for next season.

“There is always a chance that players will want to get the highest they can in football. Chinese clubs are ready to buy players for crazy money.

“You never know what is going to happen in football and you can never say never, but you want to keep your team as strong as possible for next season.

“I really want Marko to stay at the club, I have a good connection with him on the left hand side and also he is a good friend. I would love it if he stays at the club for next season."
