Stoke forced to wait for Newcastle midfielder Matt Ritchie

Stoke City face a waiting game if they're to sign Newcastle United midfielder Matt Ritchie.

The Mirror says Stoke will have to play a waiting game if they want to land Ritchie from Newcastle.

Toon boss Rafa Benitez is open to offers for the £12million winger – if he can get either Crystal Palace star Andros Townsend or Chelsea's Kenedy through the door.

Potters boss Gary Rowett will have to offer between £12million and £15m to land the 28-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Bournemouth for £12m in 2016.

While Ritchie will demand in excess of £60,000 a week in wages should he make the move to the Potteries.
