Stoke face Bolton competition for Birmingham striker Jerome

Stoke City face a battle to land available Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome.

The Daily Mail says Bolton Wanderers are showing interest and Jerome may prefer to join Owen Coyle who has a good track record of bringing the best out of his strikers.

After the release of Johan Elmander, Coyle hopes to bring back Daniel Sturridge and appreciates that the work Jerome does around the pitch would justify a place in his side.

Stoke are scouring the market for good strikers with Caen's Youssef El Arabi very much in Pulis's thoughts also.
