Preston North End are weighing up cashing in on goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.

The Mirror says Darren Ferguson may have to sell Lonergan to raise funds and bring in some cash.

Stoke City watched him in action last week and are poised to move if the transfer merry-go-round turns.

Stoke are looking at Lonergan as they fear Asmir Begovic will be a target for Chelsea again in the January market - after they turned down offers form him in the summer.
