Stoke City are eyeing in-form Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez.

The People says Stoke are ready to test Burnley's resolve to keep England Under-21 starlet Rodriguez in the transfer window.

Boss Tony Pulis has cash to spend and his spy saw the striker net at Hull last week.

The Potters would have to go to around £6million for Rodriguez, who was valued too high for Southampton to lure him in the summer.

Norwich also watched him last week, although the fee may be too high for them.
