Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden has warned Houston Dynamo's Geoff Cameron that he must be fully committed if he wants to succeed in England.
The 26-year old USA defender is being linked with a summer move to the Premier League with Stoke City and Everton showing interest but former Dynamo star Holden has made it clear that he would have to basically begin living and breathing the sport to do well in the cut-throat nature of English football.
"When I went over there I wanted to see how far I could go in my soccer career, and I wasn't going to let anything (stand) in my way.
"It's just a different level of intensity over there," Holden added. "Playing for the Dynamo really helped prepare me, but when you get over there soccer is everything for everybody in that country.
"It's on TV and newspapers every day. It consumes your life and takes it over. It's where I wanted to be, and I'm glad I went.""If you're going to compete in Europe in one of the best leagues in the world, be fully committed and have no regrets," Holden told the Houston Chronicle.
