Stoke in Everton talks for Vaughan

Stoke City hope to close a deal for Everton striker James Vaughan.

The Daily Mail says Stoke are ready to offer Everton striker James Vaughan a chance to revive his career with a loan deal after a spate of injuries.

The 21-year-old has scored seven goals in 37 Everton appearances and his first one - aged just 16 years and 271 days against Crystal Palace in 2005 - made him the youngest-ever Premier League scorer, beating both James Milner and Wayne Rooney
