The Daily Star says Pulis has been told he must lower the club’s current wage bill if he wants to sign ex-Manchester United striker Michael Owen.

That will mean moving on the likes of Kenwyne Jones, Danny Higginbotham, Mamady Sidibe and Michael Tonge.
