Arsene Wenger had accused some Stoke players of deliberately targeting his team with intent to injury but The Potters have ruled out asking the Football Association to take action. Potters chairman Peter Coates remains mystified by Wenger's outburst 48 hours after the game, but is keen to move on from the unsavoury affair.
When asked if he would be taking the matter up with the FA, Coates told Sky Sports News: "I don't think so, no. We'll draw a line under it.
"What's made him say this two or three days later I don't know, that's for him to answer.
"He's obviously under a lot of pressure, he's had a few poor results by their own high standards.
"We're satisfied with our position, we know that our club has acted properly."
