Stoke determined to win race for Huddersfield keeper Smithies

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is determined to land Huddersfield goalkeeper Alex Smithies in January.

The Sun says Pulis has been tracking the star, 19, for months but Town are under no pressure to sell and will want £3million.

Stoke had scouts watch Smithies again on the weekend in Huddersfield's thumping of Wycombe Wanderers.
