Stoke City defensive duo Ryan Shotton and Carl Dickinson are in Barnsley's sights.

New Barnsley boss Mark Robins hopes to sign the pair on-loan to December, says the Sheffield Star.

Shotton, 20, has spent time on loan with Altrincham and Tranmere Rovers, making 68 appearances and scoring 10 goals overall. The 6'3" centre back hasn't appeared for Stoke as of yet.

Dickinson, 22, has made 49 appearances for the Britannia Stadium outfit, whilst spending time on loan with Leeds United, Vikingur and Blackpool.
