Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson hopes Jermaine Pennant will sign permanently next month.
Pennant's loan from Real Zaragoza is due to expire next week.
Wilkinson told The Sentinel: "Jermaine has made a massive contribution. He is a class player and is a great lad to have around the dressing room.
"He brings so much to the team and is similar to Matty Etherington on the other wing.
"He is a brilliant asset for us, so hopefully we can get him signed up."
