Stoke defender Upson wanted by Leeds, Brighton

Released Stoke City defender Matthew Upson is fielding Championship offers.

The Daily Star says Upson is wanted by Leeds and Brighton.

The 34-year-old centre-half has been released by Stoke, who have just appointed Mark Hughes as boss.

Upson played twice for the Potters last season: once in the Capital One Cup clash and once in the Premier League. Across the two games they conceded seven goals.
