Stoke City defender Ryan Sweeney is enjoying his loan with Bristol Rovers.

Sweeney has impressed for Bristol Rovers since arriving at the Memorial Stadium on a season-long loan in January, starring in a long unbeaten run that has left him and his new team-mates now pondering a late push for promotion.

He told The Sentinel: "We had six draws on the spin, which was quite frustrating, but considering the standard of the opposition we faced we now look on them as points gained.

"We are still well in the mix, but we know we need to win some games on the bounce if we are to apply some real pressure to the teams in the top six. We have a good home record and are in good form, so we are well-placed."
