Stoke City defender Bruno Martins-Indi has revealed that he has been victim to racial abuse during his time at England.

Martins-Indi has established himself as a popular figure at Stoke City since his arrival last season but in a sad revelation, the defender has admitted during a 'Show Racism the Red Card campaign' that he has been racially abused by some people in England.

"You have some people who are well educated and some people less so," said the 25-year-old. "It wasn't in football, I'm not kidding. I was in the car with my wife next to me and my daughter in the back.

"I wasn't furious. I feel sorry for this guy. He thinks different and he will get his punishment in time, God will decide about him. I just turn the other cheek."
