Stoke City's Germany defender Robert Huth is convinced Ryan Shawcross will go on to play for England.
Huth doesn't know if the uncapped Shawcross will be promoted in time for this summer's World Cup, but does believe his team-mate is international quality.
Huth told The Sentinel: "He's been playing well, especially as last year was his first in the Premier League.
"You watch your fellow centre-backs and how they perform and he hasn't had a bad game that I can remember.
"He has to be in with a shout, although Fabio Capello makes the decisions.
"Ryan is young, but for someone his age to have played so many Premier League games and have played them so well, is great.
"I have really enjoyed playing alongside him. He is enthusiastic and strong and is almost like I was when I was his age. I can see myself in him.
"If he could get in Mr Capello's squad it would be great for him and the club, and be really good for England."
