Stoke City defender Dionotan Teixeira is extending his stay with Fleetwood Town.

Teixeira says he is keen to keep playing regular football after extending his loan at Fleetwood until the New Year.

"It's good for me because every player needs to play. It's fantastic for myself," he said in an interview for the Fleetwood website.

"Everything has been okay so far because the players have all helped me fit in.

"We picked up a good three points at Barnsley on Saturday, and it's important we try and improve every game.

"We now need to win the next game at home as it's important for us.

"I need to play regularly as I want to help the team pick up three points each week."
