Stoke City defender Leon Cort is interesting Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says Toon boss Chris Hughton is likely to turn to Cort after seeing Matthew Kilgallon choose to remain with Sheffield United for the rest of the season.
Cort featured for Stoke in their FA Cup win over York City, but remains available from the Potters this month.
